Dallas SX
Chad Reed picked up
his eighth win of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series tonight
before 46,656 fans at Texas Stadium, in Dallas, Texas. The San Manuel
rider moved into the lead on the second of 20 laps, passing Travis
Preston (who earned the $1,500 Progressive Direct Holeshot Award) and
Josh Hill, and then slowly pulled away to another solid win. The victory
extended Reed’s cushion in the series standings to 27 points over Torco
Racing Fuels Kevin Windham, who just missed the podium with a fourth
place finish behind runner-up finisher Hill and Davi Millsaps, who put
in an impressive rider for third. The win was Reed's fourth at Texas
Stadium and 34th AMA Supercross victory of his career. “I feel like I've
given a lot of wins away this year so I just wanted to go out there and
put in a good ride," said Reed. "I tried to get to the front as quick as
possible and let those guys fight it out. This was a track that you had
to stay on your toes and watch to not make mistakes.” Timmy Ferry proved
that he is almost ...

Reed &
Lawrence Win Again
Chad Reed won yet
again, this time at San Diego's Qualcomm Stadium at round six of the
Monster Energy AMA Supercross FIM World Championship. But it was far
from a run-away victory for the San Manuel rider. In fact, San Diego was
host to one of the most exciting Supercross class battles we've seen in
a long time. Red Bull's Davi Millsaps got the holeshot in the Supercross
class main event, but Reed didn't waste time getting into the lead.
Millsaps gave Reed a good run for his money, however, and the two diced
it up for a couple laps before Reed was able to get the race under
control. It wasn't until the late laps of the race when Reed fell in the
sandy turn after the finish line jump, and Millsaps was able to take the
lead once again. The crowd went nuts as the two went at it once again,
dicing for the lead. Although Millsaps didn't make it easy for him, Reed
regained control of the race and took yet another win. "I am so happy to
get this win," said Reed. "I have never

San Fran
SX Results
Chad Reed took his
third win of the season at round four of the Monster Energy AMA
Supercross FIM Championship in San Francisco's AT&T Park. Torco Racing
Fuel's Kevin Windham notched a second-place finish - his
third-consecutive podium finish of the year - ahead of Red Bull's Davi
Millsaps, who landed his first Supercross-class podium finish. What many
were expecting to be a complete quagmire actually turned out to be a
decent night of racing. The track held up remarkably well under the
rains throughout the week preceding the event. The skies held off for
most of the day but by the time the main events rolled around, a steady
downpour was soaking the already soggy track. Slippery mud and
developing ruts became a big factor in the evening program.
Consequently, the main events were shortened by five laps, making the
Lites class 10 laps and the Supercross class 15 laps. Timmy Ferry
grabbed a huge holeshot in the main event followed by Windham and
Millsaps. Reed was off to a modest start, but didn't appear too worried
about it. Windham quickly gained control of the race and got

Reed Wins
Anaheim 2
With defending
Supercross champion James Stewart on the sidelines, Chad Reed took an
easy win at Anaheim 2, topping fellow Josh Hill by an eight second
margin at round three of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship
at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California. Reed turned the fastest
qualifying lap in timed practice earlier in the day, and carried that
momentum into the final where he led all 20 laps of the main en route to
his second win of the season. “I felt awesome out here tonight, I think
bringing the retro thing back was a lot of fun,” said Reed. “We just put
it in cruise control and let the thing wind down. I think with James
gone, it made it kind of hard to focus but I’ve just got to put my head
down and keep it going.” Mike Alessi ran in second during the opening
laps after grabbing the holeshot, but gave way to the hard-charging Hill
on lap four. Like Reed, Hill also gapped the field and at one point even
gained ground on the leader. Kevin Windham claimed his second podium in
a row by putting his

Weimer Win Phoenix SX
After finishing second
at the opener in Anaheim last weekend, James Stewart got back on the
winning track, topping San Manual Yamaha’s Chad Reed on a hard-packed
and slippery track to win the second round of the Monster Energy AMA
Supercross Championship at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona, tonight. At
the start, Rockstar/Makita Suzuki’s Mike Alessi grabbed the holeshot,
leading Stewart and Reed through the first turn of the 20-lap final,
however Stewart quickly moved his Monster Energy Kawasaki to the front
as Alessi made contact with a Tuf-Bloc. Kawasaki’s Tim Ferry and Red
Bull Honda’s Davi Millsaps got the worst of Alessi’s encounter with the
track marker as both riders went down, dropping them to the back of the
pack. Meanwhile, Stewart and Reed gapped

Reed In
The Lead
Chad Reed kicked off
the 2008 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series with an impressive
performance at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California, tonight, topping
James Stewart and Tim Ferry for the win on a rutted and slippery track.
A steady rain on Friday left the Anaheim course extremely wet and in
poor condition despite the fact that it had been covered until mid-day
today, and when the gate dropped in the 20-lap final the track was still
quite slippery and deeply rutted. At the start of the main event, Grant
Langston emerged from the first turn with the lead, while Reed followed
just behind. Meanwhile, Stewart lost his front wheel heading into the
turn, starting a chain reaction that also collected Honda riders Kevin
Windham and Ivan Tedesco. By the end of the opening lap, Reed had moved
